My life’s purpose is to help others define, communicate, and realize their visions. By day I am the CEO of Pixelcarve Inc., an award-winning digital marketing agency in Toronto, Canada that I co-founded in 1998. Additionally, I serve as the Membership Experience Director for the Canadian Region of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and am a Past-President of the Toronto Chapter. I sit on multiple Boards of Advisors and Directors, am a contributor to Forbes, and have been featured in Inc Magazine, the Toronto Star, and on CBC News.
I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 19, when I started my first company out of my parent’s basement after graduating from school. Together with my business partner/cousin, Ryan Priest, we scaled the company to be one of the most awarded and respected in the industry, working with some of the most talented people and organizations on the continent. I learned a lot of lessons the hard way, but I discovered that with resilience, patience, and a willingness to be open and accept change, anything is possible.
Due to my lengthy experience in business, I have the pleasure of serving on multiple Boards of Directors and Advisors. The one that connects most deeply to my passion and purpose, is as President of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization Toronto Chapter. Through this incredible organization I have discovered that if you want to solve the world’s problems, you just have to unleash an army of entrepreneurs.
Since my villainous role as Mr. Bumble in my grade 6 theatre performance of Oliver, I have understood the power to connect, persuade, and influence from the stage. I am a full bodied, dynamic speaker, who brings a combination of entertainment, laughter, and education to every engagement I give. I have been called a “Ball of energy in a blazer”, and that’s probably the most accurate description I can think of.
My core values are Leadership, Influence, and Impact, and my family and friends know me as the guy who smiles big, laughs loud, and loves deeply. Some other skills I’ve picked up along the way – Leadership, Business Management, New Business Development, Creative Design, Interactive Design & Usability, Digital Editing & Production, Customer Relationship Management, Presentations & Proposals, Speaking, Problem Solving, and writing long form content that people seem to enjoy reading.
